Welcome your guests in style with our handcrafted solid oak wedding signs, made from sustainably sourced oak grown within Dartmoor National Park and lovingly engraved in our small Devon workshop.
As a husband-and-wife team with a passion for woodworking, we create each sign with care to ensure it’s not only practical and clear for your guests but also sets a beautiful first impression, perfectly encapsulating the rustic, timeless aesthetic of a country or coastal wedding.
Why choose our wedding signs?
- Handmade quality: Crafted from solid oak, known for its durability and stunning natural grain.
- Personalised for your day: Engraved with any text in any font you choose, along with simple emblems or your wedding logo if desired. Share your ideas, and we’ll provide multiple proofs to ensure your sign is exactly right.
- Unique upcycling feature: After your wedding, transform your sign into a coat rack using our simple five-step process (see photos for guidance). This creates a practical and meaningful keepsake to proudly display in your home as a daily reminder of your special day.
- Practical installation: The sign arrives with predrilled holes concealed by oak dowels, ensuring a seamless and polished look on your wedding day.
Optional extras:
You can purchase an additional ground spike to aid installation and adjust height as needed.
Upcycling Steps (See photos for reference)
- Remove the dowels from the predrilled holes.
- Remove the post from the back of the plaque. Although this can be done with a screwdriver, we recommend using a drill for ease.
- Attach your rustic coat hooks into the predrilled holes on the back of the plaque.
- Mount your new coat rack to the wall using the screws provided. Insert the additional dowels into the screw holes to conceal them – they fit snugly and may need a gentle tap with a wooden mallet or hard rubber.
- Enjoy your beautiful and practical keepsake in your home.

Ground Spikes (Optional for Easy Installation)
Our 55 cm ground spikes make installation easy by reducing how much of the post needs to be buried (typically 20–30 cm), keeping the sign secure while maintaining its full height. They also protect the oak by preventing direct contact with wet ground, improving stability and longevity.

"Every oak tree started as a couple of nuts that stood their ground"
After Care
About Oak
Wood is a natural material that naturally responds to changes in temperature and humidity by expanding and contracting. While these shifts are typically minor, you may notice small hairline cracks over time—this is a natural characteristic that adds to the wood’s unique charm. Seasonal changes can also cause slight movement in the timber, which is completely normal and expected as part of its aging process.
After Care
Regular care is essential to keep your product in top condition. We recommend treating the wood with Danish oil or a similar timber treatment to nourish and protect it. This helps prevent drying out, discoloration, staining, cracking, and warping, ensuring its longevity and beauty over time.
